The Bruin was designed in response to the ever growing popularity of 10mm handguns, and is the first long-slide 1911 produced from Dan Wesson. It comes equipped with a 6-inch barrel, allowing the user to take full advantage of the potent 10mm cartridge as it has as much time as possible to use its powder charge. The Bruin’s long barrel and high-velocity chambering gives the pistol exceptional accuracy, which is made even better with set of adjustable sights. The front sight features a combination of fiber-optics and a tritium, with additional tritium in the rear sights to accommodate accurate shooting in broad daylight as well as low-light environments. The longer slide also offers an extended sight radius, and a serrated, flattop rib helps reduce glare between the front and rear sight. Other features of the Bruin include a long, solid trigger with a serrated face for a more traditional appearance, as well as a square, Commander-style tactical hammer. In addition, the Bruin is outfitted G10 grips as well as 25 LPI checkering on the front and back straps to deliver exceptional control over the weapon.
